Andrew ConnorLecturer in Ancient History at the Centre for Ancient Cultures at Monash UniversityAndrew is the Lecturer in Ancient History at the Centre for Ancient Cultures at Monash University. His work focuses on the Ptolemaic and Roman periods in Egypt, and on papyrological evidence in particular. His current book project explores the interactions between Egyptian religion and Roman imperial officials in the decades following Octavian’s conquest of Egypt. He also is active in editing documentary papyri and ostraka.
In addition, Andrew has a keen interest in teaching practice, both of ancient history and ancient languages. Finally, as an American living in Australia, he now has experience working in both academic systems, as well as managing collaborative research networks across four continents. |
