Joseph LehnerAustralian Research Council Discovery Early Career Award Fellow at The University of SydneyDr. Joseph (Seppi) Lehner is an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Award Fellow at The University of Sydney. He is co-director of the Kerkenes Project (Turkey), Cape Gelidonya Shipwreck Project (Turkey), and the Archaeological Water Histories of Oman Project (Oman). His research examines deep time perspectives in human economies, environmental relations, and early urbanism. He finished his PhD at the UCLA Cotsen Institute of Archaeology and is a past Alexander von Humboldt German Chancellor Fellow at the University of Tübingen and a Senior Fellow at the Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations at Koç University in Istanbul. Besides his field projects in Turkey and Oman, Seppi has been involved in projects elsewhere in Egypt, Ethiopia, India, and Arctic North America.
Joseph is willing to mentor in general career progression, learning and teaching, research particularly in the field of archaeology. He has the capacity to mentor a maximum of five mentees at any stage |
