Jayne KnightLecturer in Classics at the University of TasmaniaJayne Knight is Lecturer in Classics in the School of Humanities, and Assistant Dean, Distinctiveness and Innovation in the College of Arts, Law and Education at the University of Tasmania. She researches Roman cultural history, Latin literature, and ancient emotions and teaches broadly within Classics, Ancient Languages, and the Humanities Honours program. Jayne is working on a monograph on anger and politics during the late Republic and early Principate and a series of articles on Roman emotions and Latin literature and its reception. Jayne is an experienced teacher, program coordinator, and supervisor, and has a growing interest in academic leadership. She has benefitted from excellent mentorship during her career and is keen to pay it forward.
Jayne is willing to mentor within the discipline in a way that suits the mentee, with particular interest in mentoring on general career progression and teaching and learning. She has capacity to mentor a maximum of two mentees at any stage. |
