Gwynaeth McIntyreSenior Lecturer in the Classics Programme at the University of OtagoGwynaeth McIntyre is a Senior Lecturer in the Classics Programme at the University of Otago. Her main research interests are in the areas of Roman religion and politics, numismatics, and Graeco-Roman mythology.
Gwynaeth has a passion for student supervision and support and was awarded the New Supervisor of the Year Award at the University of Otago in 2017. She is also interested in innovative curriculum developments and incorporating hands-on learning into classroom teaching. In 2018 she was awarded a Committee for the Advancement Learning and Teaching (CALT) Teaching Development Grant for her work on incorporating Roman coins and digital humanities methods into her classroom teaching. Gwynaeth is willing to mentor across all disciplines in a way that suits the mentee. She has the capacity to mentor a maximum of two mentees at any stage. |
